It has been rumored that Quinton "Rampage" Jackson was retiring and it is now confirmed! Rampage has confirmed through his blog that he has retired from the UFC!
After a heated debate between UFC President Dana White and the former UFC light-heavy Champ, Rampage has called it quits! loser.....jk.
“I’m done fighting,” Jackson wrote.
It all started when Jackson pulled out of his next fight to star in the upcoming popular movie, "The A-team". Dana White had these comments, "He wants to do this thing, and he's like, 'listen, man, this is really important to me...there's some sentimental value here for me, me and my Dad grew up watching The A-Team together and we loved it,'” White told reporters at a pre-fight press conference for UFC 102. "Well, guess what, brother? I said, 'guess what Rashad Evans is thinking about right now. He's thinking about beating your (expletive) ass. He's not sitting around thinking about him and his mom used to watch the (expletive) 'Love Boat' together, and he wants to get the role of 'Isaac the Bartender'...you know what I mean? Get a (expletive) grip, dude.”
At a later date, Dana White added, "I’m so mad at Rampage over this,” White railed. “Rampage is a guy we’ve obviously taken under our wing the last few years, really like him, and have done a lot of good things for him, and for him to do this to me, and pull out (of UFC 107) and do this goofy A-Team movie, I’m not happy about it at all."
There is much more to the story, but after a confirmed retirement from fighting, do you think Rampage Jackson is REALLY retired??? Or, maybe he's a "Randy Couture" type of retired....most likely!
He will most likely be back in the octagon and most likely the movie "The A-Team" will be bad ass.......
