War Machine writes from prison...

Mr. Machine's latest blog entry;
So another fake ass back stabber gets added to the list: Steve Bruno. Him and Junie Browning both have volunteered to be stepping stones on my climb back to the UFC.

On a different note, my old celly is gone. I hope he is able to stay clean and out of trouble. Funny [expletive] is my new celly is GAY! LOL! He's been in the same module as me the whole time but I never knew it! Now that he lives with me he knows that I'm not a homo-phobe so he told me and holy shit! You wouldn't believe the stories. I asked him if he's got any "action" and he's hooked up with two guys since I've been here. Crazy part is one was this skinhead guy and the other a young dude who actually had a hot girlfriend, I saw her at a visit. I wonder if she knows!? Weird, I guess you never know how people are behind closed doors. It's a trip though. Whatever, it doesn't bother me as long as no one pulls none of that gay [expletive] on me! lol.

What else, this big white guy came in to our module last night. [Expletive] man... All of us "housed" here are chill, get along great. Then once in a while we get one of these random [expletive] in here. They literally will be here only 2 days and almost start a riot. It took everything in me to not beat his ass! The problem was that he was disrespecting the blacks. The blacks all like me, but if they jump him all the other Whites & Mexicans are gonna jump and you have a riot. All I want to do is stay out of trouble and get on with my life so I pulled kind of a "[expletive] move" and let a guard know what was brewing on the D.L. You can say what you want but it solved the problem.

I'm not about to get dragged into a riot and possibly get new charges over one dumb [expletive]. Long story short, they moved his [expletive] to a different module. Yesterday I got an e-mail from a guy in Russia! I guess someone has been translating my blogs and putting them on a Russian MMA site... Crazy! Cool as [expletive] though! It's neat to know my words reach so far away. So after I wrote last weeks blog, I got to thinking... I really want to help out other up and coming fighters in their quest for "making it." It's really hard working full-time and training/fighting in the early years. So I decided to take a page out of the old Lion's Den book and start a "Fighter House" along with my gym in Austin, TX.

Once our gym is up and running my partners and I are gonna rent a 3 bedroom house and a van in Austin. We're gonna keep the pad stocked with basic things like eggs, oatmeal, brown rice, chicken, tuna, and bread. There will be bunk beds in each room and 2 dressers and a couch, big screen, and DVD player in the living room. We're gonna have try-outs in the weight classes of 145-185. The 6 guys we pick will live in the pad and become a part of our team in Austin. In return, the fighters will be responsible for cleaning the gym, passing out flyers, and covering instructor's classes when out of town. For extra $, they'll be able to teach privates to the members/personal train them, whatever. If need be they can work a night or two at one of the local bars or something. No girls, alcohol, or drugs allowed in the house. But yeah, that's the basic run down of things. There will be a little contract and other details still need to be worked out, but I really like the idea! We're gonna have great trainers and a great facility, and I really hope we'll be able to give some guys a "kick-start" into the game while building my team up at the same time. SPREAD THE WORD!

War Machine replaces Brad Blackburn at Tachi Palace Fights 5, final pre-jail bout

In his final fight before a scheduled one-year jailing, War Machine (11-3) takes on fellow UFC veteran John Alessio (28-13) in the co-main-event of "Tachi Palace Fights 5: Stars and Strikes."

A source close to the fighter today confirmed with MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that Brad Blackburn (15-11-1), who originally was slated to fight Alessio, was forced off the card with an undisclosed injury.

TPF 5 takes place July 9 at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, Calif.

The event, which features a Rob McCullough (17-6) vs. Isaac DeJesus (9-1) 160-pound catchweight headliner, airs via online pay-per-view for $9.99.

War Machine, a cast member on "The Ultimate Fighter 6" previously known as Jon Koppenhaver before a legal name change, was arrested on May 30 outside Thruster's Lounge in San Diego under suspiscion of assault with a deadly weapon. (See a video report on his arrest.) War Machine, who's been arrested previously on various charges, recently Tweeted that he'll spend a year in the San Diego County Jail because of the incident.

Despite his legal troubles, War Machine enters the bout with six wins in his past seven fights (all of which have come via stoppage). Most recently, he topped former UFC and Strikeforce fighter Zach Light (6-9) at a May BAMMA show in England.

Alessio, meanwhile, enters the co-headliner with four consecutive wins, including a third-round knockout of fellow ex-UFC fighter Luigi Fioravanti in October and recent first-round submission victories over Matt Delanoit and Chris Clements.

Blackburn was slated to fight for the first time since a 3-2 run in the UFC.

A host of other notables appear on the TPF 5 card, which features three title fights. Matchups include TPF welterweight champ David Mitchell (10-0) vs. Poppies Martinez (18-6), bantamweight title-holder Cole Escovedo (16-4) vs. Michael McDonald (9-1), and Gabe Ruediger (16-5) vs. Lenny Lavato (8-0) for the vacant lightweight strap.

War Machine in court

A former UFC fighter has another opponent in court -- video evidence.

Security video shows “War Machine” and a friend getting into a fistfight inside Thrusters lounge in Pacific Beach, prosecutors said.

The video, played in court on Thursday, shows War Machine continuing to throw punches after bouncers attempted to break up the fight on March 30.

Bouncer Mathew Compton says one of the punches hit him in the mouth as he was on the ground subduing one of the men War Machine was fighting with.

"It immediately knocked me back," said Compton, who is 6 feet 4 inches and weighs 315 pounds. “I grabbed for my mouth and kind of fell onto my butt and it took me a few seconds to come out of my daze."

When everyone was kicked out of the bar War Machine went crazy, Compton said. Security video showed him bouncing around and twice charging another bouncer outside the bar.

"He was focused in on security guard La fleur and went after him with everything he had," Compton said. "Beyond aggressive. Crazy almost, that's best way I can describe it, he was seeing nothing else at that point in my opinion."

The fighter is charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

Witnesses testified at another hearing on Tuesday about a separate incident, in which War Machine allegedly smashed several glasses on a bar top when he was asked for identification.

Helen Geesman, a bartender at the Last Day Bar, said she was hit with glass during the incident.

"He got more and more irritated and then swiped his arm toward me -- swiped the whole bar clean, and there was quite a few bottles on the bar and the glass hit me," Geesman claimed.

War Machine appeared on the sixth season of "The Ultimate Fighter," which is produced by the UFC. He legally changed his name from Jon Koppenhaver to War Machine.

The fighter has been arrested several times in the past for fighting outside of the ring including a guilty plea to assault in 2007.

Judge Charles Rogers is expected to decide on Friday if War Machine should stand trial.

Check out War Machine's first post-porn MMA fight

(good post by middle easy. had to repost...)

War Machine went from MMA fighter, to porn star, to fugitive, to reformed MMA fighter, to selling his kidneys on eBay, to being considered armed and dangerous, to dropping out of a fight due to staph infection, to MMA fighter who defeated Zach Light in the UK in the course of only eight months. If you were to add 'stole a NASA Space Shuttle to fly to the moon' in that list, we all should not even be surprised by it. Enough of this Dos Equis guy, War Machine is the most interesting man in the world and he even has the verifiable evidence to prove it. Check out War Machine's first post-porn fight at BAMMA in the UK just a few days ago.

p.s. We saw war machine sitting in the bed of a truck in san diego the other day.  He didn't look like he had staph, was armed & dangerous or any of that other bullsh*t.  He looked normal.  Not saying he is normal, but he looked it.

Former UFC Fighter arrested in Pacific Beach (San Diego)

A UFC fighter was taken into custody after allegedly using a deadly weapon during an altercation at a Pacific Beach bar -- his fists.

Officers were called to Thrusters Lounge on Mission Boulevard shortly before 11 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

The 28-year-old suspect, who legally changed his name from Jon Koppenhaver to "War Machine," ran from police and was caught a few blocks away at Bayard Street and Garnet Avenue, police said.

Mr. Machine was bound to get arrested again.  He's like a 12 year old brat with daddy issues......

It was released in February 09, that Koppenhaver posted a message on his myspace account that he hopes someone puts a bullet into President Barack Obama.  Classy bro.
